Farmaindustria, the National Trade Association of the Spanish based pharmaceutical industry, gathers most of the innovative pharmaceutical companies, which represent almost the entire prescription-only medicines sales in Spain. They are responsible to a great extent of the value that medicines bring to the country's socioeconomic progress and quality of life.

The commitment of the Spanish pharmaceutical industry to provide medicines of the highest possible quality and efficacy produces an important benefit for the country, both from the healthcare point of view and the economic one.

All Members of Farmaindustria, as well as the Members of EFPIA and those pharmaceutical companies that, not being members, have voluntarily affiliated themselves to the Code of Practice, commit and compel themselves to comply with the provisions collected in the Code of Practice in all their promotional activities and interactions with patient organisations, healthcare organisations, healthcare professionals and any other person who, in the practice of his/her professional activity, may carry out or determine the activities of prescribing, buying, distributing, dispensing or administrating a medicine.
